Please join us as author Elizabeth Crook takes readers behind the scenes of a drama portraying the grit of the pioneers of West Texas.
Elizabeth Crook is an American novelist credited for writing some of Texas’ most fabled historic fiction. Her most recent novel is the story of a young girl and the cast of characters she meets in her frightening and poignant journey to track down the panther that killed her mother. Sam Sacks of The Wall Street Journal calls the tale “…a ripping adventure… [with a] show-stopping finale.” Compared to True Grit, this fast-paced book of marvels has been optioned by Maverick Films LLC with Robert Duvall to star.
Following lunch, authors of Austin, Texas and Western works will be available to discuss and sell their books. Vendors include editorial services, representatives and artists from the film industry, and the Writers’ League of Texas.
